Pan Dulce Concha Pillow Project for Machine Embroidery and Sewing Machine with BONUS Puerquito machine embroidery stuffie.
This is a cool project for Pan Dulce Concha shaped cushions. You can make this pillow in either Machine Embroidery Applique with the downloadable embroidery files for several sizes of hoops OR simply use the included Sewing Applique Pattern Instructions to do this project COMPLETELY on your sewing machine! It's such a fun little treat that you can stitch up quickly either way! If you choose the Machine Embroidery option, you will need to complete the pillow with your regular sewing machine. There is a BONUS 12"x 9" Machine embroidery file for a sweet little Puerquito (marranito) piggy cookie stuffie as well!
5x7 Embroidery is 5.18" x 5.07" with 6047 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 7" across. You will need 1/3 yard of light or medium brown Solid C3 Cuddle® fabric for the front and back background material, and a 10" x 10" piece of lighter colored C3 Cuddle® for the applique shapes.
6x10 Embroidery is 6.41" x 6.30" with 7444 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 8" across You will need 1/3 yard of light or medium brown Solid C3 Cuddle® fabric for the front and back background material, and a 10" x 10" piece of lighter colored C3 Cuddle® for the applique shapes.
8x8 Embroidery is 7.85" x 7.72" with 9182 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 10" across. You will need 1/3 yard of light or medium brown Solid C3 Cuddle® fabric for the front and back background material, and a 10" x 10" piece of lighter colored C3 Cuddle® for the applique shapes.
9x9 Embroidery is 9.38" x 9.23" with 10949 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 11" across. You will need 1/3 yard of light or medium brown Solid C3Cuddle® fabric for the front and back background material, and a 10" x 10" piece of lighter colored C3 Cuddle® for the applique shapes.
12x12 Embroidery is 11.96" x 11.78" with 13939 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 10" across. You will need 1/2 yard of light or medium brown Solid C3Cuddle® fabric for the front and back background material, and a 12" x 12" piece of lighter colored C3 Cuddle® for the applique shapes.
14x14 Embroidery is 13.77" x 13.57" with 16045 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 16" across. You will need 1/2 yard of light or medium brown Solid C3Cuddle® fabric for the front and back background material, and a 15" x 15" piece of lighter colored C3 Cuddle® for the applique shapes.
12x9 Puerquito Stuffie is 8.77" x 11.99" with 1326 Stitches - you will need a 25" x 12" scrap of Solid C3 Cuddle Fabric to stitch it out.
This design is done with the embroidery machine for the details, the pattern assembly on sewing machine, and a very small amount of hand sewing to put it all together. You will need the following materials to complete this project: Minky materials for the body and applique and cutaway stabilizer. A design tutorial is included to guide you through the process. My favorite material to use is the Shannon Fabrics brand of Cuddle® and Luxe Cuddle® that you can find in your local quilt shop.

THIS IS A DESIGN FILE FOR YOU TO USE ON YOUR EMBROIDERY MACHINE TO SEW DESIGNS WITH - not a finished physical item. You must have an embroidery capable machine to stitch this design out. The instructions also include information on how to do this pillow as traditional applique for a sewing pattern as well in a single size. You are welcome to print out the PDF Color Map pages of the various sizes to use the shapes of the applique to do traditional applique in 5x7, 6x6, 8x8, 9x9, 12 x12 or 14x14 to get additional sizes of pillows.
