Game Controller Pillow Project for Machine Embroidery and Sewing Machine.
This is a cool project for game controller shaped cushions. The embroidery part is done on your embroidery machine and the pillow is completed by printing out an included pattern template and sewing the remaining pieces on a sewing machine. There are three sizes of pillows to make depending on what size of embroidery frame you will be using for the controller buttons.
5x7 Embroidery is 7.08" x 3.93" with 3381 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 12" wide x 8" tall. You will need 1/2 yard of Solid Cuddle® fabric for the front, back, and sides of the pillow and 1" scraps of yellow, red, blue and green Cuddle® for the applique buttons.
6x10 Embroidery is 9.58" x 5.28" with 4911 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 15" wide x 11" tall. You will need 1/2 yard of Solid Cuddle® fabric for the front, back, and sides of the pillow and 1" scraps of yellow, red, blue and green Cuddle® for the applique buttons.
8x12 Embroidery is 10.85" x 5.98" with 5760 stitches and makes a pillow that is approximately 17" wide x 12" tall. You will need 1/2 yard of Solid Cuddle® fabric for the front, back, and sides of the pillow and 1" scraps of yellow, red, blue and green Cuddle® for the applique buttons.
This design is done with the embroidery machine for the details, the pattern assembly on sewing machine, and a very small amount of hand sewing to put it all together. You will need the following materials to complete this project: Minky materials for the body and applique and cutaway stabilizer. A fully illustrated design tutorial is included to guide you through the process. My favorite material to use is the Shannon Fabrics brand of Cuddle® and Luxe Cuddle® that you can find in your local quilt shop.
